Central Michigan University (CMU) is a public research university that was established in 1892. CMU competes in ten women's and six men's sports in Mid-American Conference under the name Central Michigan Chippewas.

In the United States, 24, 22, 18, 14, and 10 karat gold are the only karats allowed to be sold as karated gold.
